Having grown up on an eclectic combination of Bollywood music (RD Burman to Bappi Lehri), electronic dance music (Robert Miles, Chicane), and the vibrant pop music of the 80s & 90s (Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake), Saahil infuses all his influences with his everlasting fervour for melodies and strong basslines that get translated into surreal experiences & instant connections.
While he loves playing music in nightclubs and at special events, his radio show on ‘Tunein Radio’, one of the biggest radio stations on the internet, holds a special place in his heart.
Interestingly, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a music producer and a percussionist, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. He has produced music for the Indian film ‘Mad About Dance’, released two singles ‘Naach’ and ‘The Tour’ under the Electro Infected Label (out on iTunes).
Known for his innovative remixes, Saahil had also held a residency at club Mangos, one of the biggest Asian clubs in London, when the Asian Underground scene was rapidly growing. He has also performed alongside renowned names of the music industry like Dr Zeus, Jaz Dhami, Rishi Rich to name a few. With a strong understanding of different genres of music, Saahil was also the resident Dj at the famous Sheffield Hallam University and has performed in Spain, Scotland, Manchester etc.
With an apparent affinity towards EDM, Saahil founded Electro Infected in 2010 as an independent online radio station, at a time when people had just started realising the power of the internet, Saahil was already harnessing it.
And now 11 years later – Electro Infected has become the go-to place for both Music Lovers & DJs.
Saahil is also an actor, writer and director in the Indian Film industry.
